Scientific Name: Vulpes vulpes
Description: The red fox is the largest of all foxes. They are generally 36 to 42 inches long and weigh about 15 pounds. Most of their body is reddish-brown, but the underside of their head and body is light grey or white. Foxes can live up to 14 years, but most die within their first few years. 
Habitat: Red foxes are found all over the globe from the near arctic to the equator. They can live in near desert conditions or in suburban neighborhoods.
Food: Foxes are carnivorous , meaning they eat meat. Most of their diet includes rabbits and other small rodents, but they also eat insects, birds, fish, and even worms.
