Floating-Leaf Pondweed
Scientific Name: Potamogeton natans 
Description: The floating leaves are slightly heart-shaped. The submerged leaves are long and narrow or absent in shape. The flower stalks if present, protrude above the water surface. This is a very common pond plant and several types can be found in Michigan ponds.
